3 things
Zagu -- watermelon flavor!
Hotshots -- Real bleu? Real blue? Can't recall the flavor's correct name right now but it's the one that has lots of melted blue cheese in the burger!
Courteous cashiers at the mall -- the ones I noticed recently were those at SM. What did they do? Well, they gave genuine "good afternoon, ma'am" greetings while looking me in the eye, instead of 1) poker-face-no-words-and-no-eye-contact greeting or, 2) cheerless and impersonal-sounding "good afternoon, ma'am" wherein I could've replied "what's good about the afternoon?!" and she wouldn't have even noticed it.
Life in the Philippines nowadays may be a bit rocky, and I guess that's why it's easy to notice the little things that are to be thankful for -- even though they're mere palate pleasers and 2-minute transactions at the mall.

Wow! that's a good change.. normally the SM girls just stood there like lamp posts and will play hide and seek when you need them - lols. So glad to hear this news girl!
Oh, did you know nga pala that when they apply for the job, they are asked to stand up straight, turn left, right, etc. and "give me your best smile"? :) :)
glad to know that they are now using the "smiles" factor now - it really makes a lot of difference.

You're right! At least in my experience recently, most of the salesladies there were courteous, efficient and pleasant. They still don't compare to Rustan's salesladies -- who, in my book, show more professionalism -- but they have improved a lot. I guess Shoemart is investing more in training its people.
Btw, I know you don't get a chance to go to SM nowadays =) but just so you know, if a customer is satisfied with a particular clerk, he/she can easily give feedback, and I personally think it's worth the time and effort. There's a simple form in which he/she can specify the clerk's name and relate the incident that convinced her to give the clerk the thumbs-up rating. =)
