when you shoot that candy wrapper into the trash can, talk positively to foreigners about the bayanihan spirit and Philippine cuisine, and refrain from buying smuggled goods, you're doing a lot more good than you think.

Sigh. I found a website yesterday that is FULL of hate - I almost wanted to hate them too - Hahaha. Maybe we should also post this in forums - I guess it will help. What do u think?

You know, when we talk about Philippine food to foreigners, it's effortless to rave about it. Dwelling on the positive traits of Filipinos, the positive qualities of life in the Phils., of the Philippine gov't and the like requires more...contemplation. But as you know, one principle to keep in mind (and to remind foreigners when the talk seems to take an anti-Pinoy tone) is that there are strengths and weaknesses in every country and every nationality.
Never have I spoken with so much pride as I have since I started dealing with Koreans on a daily basis. =)
